Through professional development and collaborative initiatives, we aim to empower educators to champion diversity in their classrooms and foster a culture of understanding and acceptance. We also seek to promote best practices in transition planning in order to support educators as they develop high-quality transition plans with high expectations, so that teams can think higher – and think college – for young adults with intellectual disabilities.

By facilitating a community where best practices and innovative approaches are exchanged, we seek to enhance the quality of support services for students with intellectual disability, ensuring they have equal access to educational opportunities.

We envision a higher education landscape where every student, regardless of background or ability, has the resources and support needed to achieve their academic and personal goals. Through mentorship programs, advocacy initiatives, and inclusive campus policies, we aim to amplify the voices of students and empower young adults with intellectual disabilities to build self-determination skills and shape their educational journey.

In our vision, families and caretakers are valued partners in the educational process. We strive to create a supportive network that engages families in the journey of inclusive higher education. By providing resources, guidance, and a platform for sharing experiences, we aim to strengthen the bond between families and educational institutions, fostering an environment where both collaboration and understanding thrive. We hope to be a space where parents and families can connect and be in community with each other.
